Piston rod seal is widely used. We often see its application in hydraulic industrial equipment. It is installed in the dustproof seal inside the hydraulic cylinder end cover. Its function is to prevent hydraulic oil leakage. It is one of the main pressure-bearing components. One-way pressure bearing, high pressure bearing, direct contact with hydraulic oil. The hydraulic piston rod sealing structure is made of PTFE filler, and the other is an O-shaped elastic seal, which plays the role of a secondary seal. The piston rod seal has the characteristics of low friction resistance, no creep in starting, low leakage and anti-wear.
In the past, most of the piston seals generally used O-ring, V-ring and Y-ring specifications, but the incorrect sealing form will affect the friction resistance, resulting in premature wear of the sealing lip. Therefore, the allowable movement speed is relatively low, and it is widely used in occasions where the movement speed is not high, such as hydraulic equipment of engineering machinery, metallurgical equipment and agricultural machinery.
There are many cross-sectional forms and materials of the piston rod seal, and different cross-sectional forms and materials are selected according to different working environments. The application of piston rod seals not only avoids the contact between metals, but also improves the supporting capacity and bears a certain lateral force. The friction is small, and it is suitable for high-pressure and high-speed systems.
