The difference between ultra-high pressure sealing ring and general pressure is that the material of the blocked seal must be able to withstand ultra-high pressure extrusion or impact; it is a gap seal, and its gap value is much smaller than the general pressure gap seal value.

The material of the ultra-high pressure seal requires its organization to be denser, to prevent leakage, and to prevent damage by extrusion, so it requires stronger. Generally, when the pressure of the liquid fluid medium exceeds 100MPa, it is difficult to use synthetic rubber, leather and fluoroplastics, while aluminum, copper, beryllium bronze and these non-ferrous metal alloys are used. These metals and alloys produce elastic-plastic deformation, which is beneficial to fill the concave and micro valleys on the uneven surface of the sealing surface.
In addition to the general requirements for sealing ring materials, the following conditions shall be noted for sealing rings:

(2) Appropriate mechanical strength, including expansion strength, elongation and tear strength.
(3) Stable performance, not easy to swell in the medium, and small thermal shrinkage effect (Joule effect).
